Recently I've been asked to do a few articles/interviews about various aspects of THE X-FILES and/or fanfic writing. Here's where you can find them.

Carter and Spotnitz Tell All! -- My notes from a late-1999 Humanitas Foundation Master Writers Workshop at which Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz spoke about lots of things -- the mythology, the relationship, the characters... This was originally posted to the ATXC newsgroup, then archived at The Haven. A text version is here now, since The Haven's articles archive has closed.

Episode Review: "Squeeze" -- "Squeeze" was the first episode of THE X-FILES I ever saw, way back in 1993, and I've been hooked ever since. So when Khristine asked me to write a review and gave me my choice of episodes, I picked this one. (Warning: my review is decidedly shipper-centric, indulging my tendency to read all sorts of things into Scully's simple little caress of Mulder's arm at the end.) The banner link takes you to the main page; click on Episode Guide, then Season 1.

Authors Page Interview -- Smurf, the archivist at Legacy, gives authors with more than five stories on her site an opportunity to answer a few questions on an Authors page. This is mine. The banner link takes you to the main page; click on Meet the Authors, then go down the list to find my name.

How do I Keep Them in Character if They're Doing Stuff They Can't Do on the Show? -- It's no secret to anyone who knows me that characterization is a make-or-break issue in fanfic for me. If Mulder and Scully don't behave like Mulder and Scully, it takes me completely out of the story. This article contains my thoughts on keeping them in character. The banner link takes you to the main page; click on Articles. (Also see the Working Stiffs listing on the Writers' Resources page here.)
